A POEM

Today is the last day of school and we are turning in our books to the
homeschool support program we belong to. My older daughter finished
last week, my younger daughter today. For the younger kids you have to
turn in a portfolio and samples of their best work. I came across this poem
she wrote during the year for her grammar/poetry lessons and thought it
was very good.

THANK YOU LORD!
By Valerie 11 years old

Almighty God in Heaven above,
Thank you for your unending love.
Thank you Lord for this happy day,
And all the things that make me pray.
What an amazing God you are,
Creative and caring from afar.
Always there with a watchful eye,
Never doing it with a sigh.
I think it's pretty much agreed,
You are the most amazing indeed!

Funny that you should post a poem... Joshua learning about them last week and had to write his first one... now keep in mind that writing is not his favorite thing and he thinks a "2 word sentence" will make a fine essay... he wrote this the other day on his first draft and I thought it was pretty cute for a 10 yr old boy

The Spiders
Spiders are very cool;
And to God they are a tool;
Spiders eat lots of bugs;
But noone wants to give them hugs;
