PARACHUTES AND PURPLE PINATAS

We woke up this morning to a snowy mountain! How funny we were all
commenting just yesterday that there wasn't one drop of snow on the
mountain and look what happened in the night while we slept:

I don't know if I am ready for winter just yet. Thankfully this fall
already seems to be much better weather-wise than our summer
ever was. It is turning into the pretty, sunny days/crisp cold nights
season that I love so much.

Yesterday was my niece's 5th birthday party at the pool! Much fun was
had by the entire family and a few added friends from her school.

Silly Synchronized diving?

I sure saw lots of smiles all around.

Keith was swimming with everyone. He has a lot of experience in this
pool already--this is where he has water therapy 3 times a week. The
deadline for putting weight on his legs for the first time is approaching.
He will be x-rayed first to determine whether his legs are ready. I am
sure he is more than anxious to be walking again!

And of course there was a pinata...

The parachute was a lot of fun for everyone.

Hmm, not bad. Only one casualty this time.

The Beautiful Birthday girl

Oh yeah, vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles. Does a
5 year old girl's birthday get any better than that?

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY JIGGY
WE LOVE YOU--CHA CHA CHA!

What a beautiful birthday girl! I so agree - it is hard to beat pink icing with sprinkles for any occasion :) How wonderful to see Keith almost on his feet again - what a looong road he has been on for the past few weeks. You have a precious family!

That looks like so much fun! Makes me wish I were five again. I remember doing the parachute thing. I'll have to try that with my kids.
