More awesome cakes from my growing collection of pictures. No, I didn't
make these! I keep a photo file of ideas that I can refer to when someone
orders a cake. I think some of these are works of art. All of them are edible
--even the knife by the fish and the fur the boots are sitting on!

Those are beautiful. I wouldn't be able to eat them. Have you seen Ace of Cakes on Food Network? I think these are even better.
these are awesome cakes !! do you ever go to cakewrecks and see the cakes there OH have mercy some are way too funny some just sad and on occasion way too cool for words (like these)
Becky--we don't get TV so I haven't seen the show. Some people are sugar artists--what a way to make a living!
Laura--Yes, I have Cake Wrecks in my favorites. The pictures are fantastic, but her writing on that blog is the best part. She cracks me up!
I love food art. Love it! I used to want to be the one who created it, then I wanted to be the one who ate it, now I will just settle for looking.
Ooooh! BEAUTIFUL! Okay, I thought the above post on taxes was astonishing, but now that I have scrolled down I find myself astonished again!!! I'm off to brew a cup of tea and relax while all the swirli-ness in my mind calms down.
GORGEOUS cakes! Well, I can just forget about posting pics of my latest cake flooded with ganache that puddled so splendidly all over the lacy cake plate ("And tasted FABULOUS!" she brags shamelessly). What I thought looked "poetic" then, looks "pathetic" next to these works of art. (:
