THE BEST LAID PLANS...

I went to the grocery store and their gardening accessories had been
placed on 50% off, so I poked around the display and found this cute
little bench. It was only $7.50! The arms are real metal and the slats
are real wood. It is quite small, just perfect for an indoor display.

I pictured vintage dolls, or a line of pretty potted plants. Maybe
even some very carefully placed lady head vases--yes--now that
would really be neat!

I had my younger daughter assemble it while I went downstairs to look
for a lovely lacy covering for the pretty little bench. I could hardly wait!

Imagine my surprise when I came back upstairs and saw this:

Oh well.

$7.50 is pretty cheap for a dog bed.

Isn't it?

Ok!! If I read nothing else but you most recent post I would be hooked. This is like my home. The dogs rule the roost. I had a good laugh over the last photo. Hope you win the bench back. I don't know though, that pooch looks really comfortable.

LOL, That is great, a perfect fit. I love your pups. I didn't know you had a dobie. We want one but are waiting for the right time. Your pic could be a postcard or calendar page :-)

I hate to say it, but when your child and your dog gang up on you - it's time to give up the bench! I love the dog bowl and the comfy blanket in the last picture. Perhaps your canine sweetie was enticed? I love it when our children show kindness and compassion - even to four-legged friends :)

LOL, Yes, Kris, it's pretty cheap for a dog bed! But what a gorgeous dog, is he a Doberman. I grew up with a beloved Doberman.
Have a great week :)

How cute! Cats rule our roost, but my husband would choose a dobie if a canine craving came upon us. He's a cutie and that bench suits him perfectly. Sorry, you lost. ; )

Thanks for stopping by everybody!

Just to clarify...Neo is a Miniature Pinscher or Min Pin. He looks exactly like a full-sized Doberman, especially since we had his ears done as a puppy, but he is small.

His biggest goal in life is to kill every rat that ever scuttled along the planet and he absolutely hates the sound of the toaster.

I have never owned a Doberman, but I hear they are fantastic dogs. One day I would love to have one!
