WITTY WEDNESDAY

OXYMORONS

An oxymoron (plural oxymorons or, more rarely, oxymora) is a
figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms.
Oxymoron is a loanword from Greek oxy ("sharp" or "pointed")
and moros ("dull"). Thus the word oxymoron is itself an oxymoron.

I love these! Oxymorons are a personal favorite of mine. You have a small and very cute blog fan - my three year old, Madelyn. I showed her the pictures you posted a few weeks ago of the eagle and the 3 bears. She sits in my lap everyday and asks to see them again and again. Please, please, don't ever delete them - I will be in big trouble!!!

This was a lot of fun. The quotes were great! (...but a couple of them took me a few seconds to get...)
