several days, so here come the ice skaters! And the ice sliders and the hockey players and the kids being pulled on
sleds and the dogs and the--you get the picture. It's the place to be and be seen. The fire department monitors the
ice thickness to keep things safe.
The local rental equipment store donated the use of stadium lights and a generator so the fun could continue after
dark. Which, by the way is at approxiamately 3:45 now.
If you click the picture to make it larger you can see a green metal moose that is planted in the lake eating grass.
And the clump you see in the lower middle of the picture is a small group of ducks sitting on the ice waiting for their
daily corn ration from the locals.

Looks like fun! But cold! I remember when I lived in Norway and it was only twilight for 2 hours per day and that was as light as it got for a while!

We are headed down to the thrift store right now to see about used ice skates. They store them all year in the attic and bring them down for everyone to pick a pair for less than $5.00.
I can't imagine 2 hours of daylight! We are closing in on our shortest day, which I think is Dec. 21st? Anyway, after that it's all downhill to summer and 14 hours of daylight. Last July it was bright daylight until 10:30 at night and then light again at 4:30 in the morning. You have to invest in dark curtains!
