SUNNY ALASKA DAY

The weather for the last few days has been so gorgeous! Crisp and cold with snow threatened
next week. The lake in the middle of town had a thin layer of ice on it and I saw people sitting
on the benches by the side feeding the ducks. I drove around town while my daughter did some
Christmas shopping and just enjoyed the beauty of this place. Click the photos to make larger.

I tumbled upon this blog and felt so glad to know more about Alaska. You have beautiful pictures! I could look at it and imagine myself by that lake enjoying the views!

Welcome Yamini and thank you for the nice comment. Yes, the views are spectacular. I think everyone should visit Alaska some time in their lives! Kris

What a spectacular place! Have you always lived in Alaska? I would *really* like to visit there one day. It is so different from Australia.

No, I was born and raised in Washington state. My dad was born here and my brothers came back here to live. My sister and I followed them up here and now our whole family is in Alaska except our mom and dad. We would love to visit Australia since my husband's cousin lives there. One day maybe we could trade visits! Thanks for stopping by. Kris

Neat pics Kris. My cousin lives in Petersburg, and I have always wanted to get up that direction sometime. Your photos make me wanna jump a ferry and sail north;)

Yes you definitely should visit your friends in Petersburg! We came through there on the ferry this year and what a beautiful place that was. Coming up the Inside Passage is something everyone should do at least once in their lives. Kris
